Five robot lions that lock together into a single machine. Black takes the head, torso and upper legs; Red the right arm, Green the left arm, Blue the lower right leg and Yellow the lower left leg. The combination is the show’s set piece and its structure: no lion wins alone, and the episode is usually over within a minute of the lions joining. In Legendary Defender, the same five-Lion combination forms for the first time in ten thousand years at the end of the 2016 premiere, Black at the head, Red and Green as the arms, Blue and Yellow as the legs, defeating Commander Sendak’s warship within a minute of locking together.
